Dr Allison Etnyre is a licensed psychologist who specializes in psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, including academic (gifted testing and needs as well as learning disability), developmental, Asperger's Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and general psychological evaluations.

She is an expert in the assessment of Gifted and Talented students and gifted students who are "twice exceptional," (e.g., a gifted child who has a learning disability or ADHD). She can provide thorough academic, emotional, and behavioral recommendations that are applicable at school and home.   Dr. Etnyre spent time at the Gifted Development Center in Denver, Colorado and worked with Dr. Linda Silverman, who is well known in the field (www.gifteddevelopment.com). 

In terms of individual therapy, she works with at-risk children and adolescents, anxiety disorders, depression, abuse victims, and adult women.  Dr. Etnyre also has therapy dog that can assist in working with children.

Dr. Allison Etnyre earned her Bachelor of Science degree (psychology) at Michigan State University.  She went on to complete her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees from the University of Denver, an APA accredited program.  She completed her pre-doctoral internship locally, at Warm Springs Counseling Center.  She was hired as en employee after her internship and worked her way up to Director of Training while there. Dr. Etnyre developed their predoctoral internship program, which was one of the few APPIC accredited programs in Idaho.  She recently moved into full-time private practice here at Advantage Psychological Services, PLLC.
